Planning a Graduation

Tips and Guidelines

1. What is the length of the party? And when is the party?

  • Early afternoon parties usually require less food as it is in-between "meal times".
  • Later evening parties-guests tend to have a couple of sandwiches each, especially late evening events with adult beverages available.

2. Are there other celebrations that day? And do they run at the same time?

  • People will usually take some from each graduation, just to be polite. Many will not take more than a spoonful of everything.

3. What size buns do you wish to have?

  • Four-inch buns require about 1/3 pound of meat per person
  • Three-inch buns require about 1/4 pound of meat per person

(Lynch BBQ offers delicious buns, that can be frozen after service.)

4. Who are your expected guests and what are their ages?

  • If your graduate is planning for a lot of friends, plan on a couple of sandwiches per person.
  • If your event includes a wide mixture of guests with plenty of younger children attending, planning one sandwich per person will be adequate.

5. Who will be assisting with food and clean up?

  • By planning ahead and taking offered help, you will allow yourself the time to enjoy your celebration.

Good Luck with your family's celebration! Have a great time!
